Chicago, IL – Francis Parker School

Fall 2016

Francis W. Parker School is an independent progressive school in Chicago that educates students from 4-18 years old.  Active citizenship is at the heart of a Parker education, as described in the Mission: “The Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a democratic society and global community.”

Chicago is a city with a vibrant musical, artistic, and cultural history, home to many immigrant groups, powerful activism, and great sports teams (Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears). Situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago is one of the largest cities in the U.S., and the home of President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama.
